Ethics Commission

Tasks of the Ethics Commission

The Ethics Commission assists NADA Austria in the fields of information, education and prevention and with respect to ethical issues. It initiates and supports awareness-raising measures, especially in popular and leisure sport. The vision and mission of the Ethics Commission is to restore the "true spirit of sport".

Statutory provisions

The tasks and activities of NADA Austria's Ethics Commission have been laid down in § 4 of the Anti-Doping Federal Act as amended by Federal Law Gazette I no. 146/2009:

§ 4 (2) The Independent Anti-Doping Organization shall establish the following commissions:

  1. the Ethics Commission, which shall consist of at least three, but no more than five professionally qualified members with experience in the fight against doping, to provide support in doping prevention measures as well as anti-doping information and education.
