Vision
In cooperation with all responsible organizations, ministries, federations and similar bodies, NADA Austria will ensure that competitive sport in Austria is doping-free and fair. Young athletes will find conditions in Austria that will make it worthwhile for them to dedicate themselves to competitive sport in the future.
Members of the Austrian public who are interested in sports will recognize doping as deceitful, fraudulent and harmful to athletes' health, and, as a consequence, condemn and reject it.
Mission
NADA Austria is a service institution for competitive sports in Austria. It has been established as a Gesellschaft mit beschränkter Haftung (limited liability company) and is responsible for implementing the Anti-Doping Federal Act and the WADA Code in Austria. Consequently, NADA Austria acts entirely without restriction and in independence of external influences.
Prevention and information as well as education of future competitive athletes are NADA Austria's top priorities. The goal is for future generations of athletes to deal with the doping issue in an independent, critical and self-determined manner. It is intended to permanently raise the awareness of all Austrians interested in sports, as well as of the general public, so that people adopt an anti-doping attitude that reflects the aims of the WADA Code.
With regard to the doping control system, NADA Austria feels committed to doing everything within its power to accomplish exemplary work in this area. NADA Austria will not allow its work to be influenced in any way, nor will it allow itself to be diverted from its course or to be influenced in its efforts by any targeted or existing rumors, disagreements or any similar factors.
Whenever it is required and useful in fulfilling the set objectives or tasks to be performed, NADA Austria will seek to cooperate with all governmental institutions and other partners.
