Sanctions
The sanctions against athletes committing anti-doping rule violations are clearly defined. For the sake of international harmonization, clear guidelines have been specified in Article 10 of the WADA Code. However, WADA and/or NADA Austria is only competent for sports-related issues. As soon as there is an alleged criminal offence, the police and/or the prosecutor's office are notified.
